I have had a couple of aegir instances, but then decided I wanted Barracuda and Octopus to run them instead. So I got to work. However, there was a lot of waiting on the DNS.

Make sure that you have setup a wildcard fully qualified domain name before setting up your server.

How to create your own platforms

1) Login as your own user

2) Go to the static directory

3) Build your platform - make sure that sites has correct permissions.
